Why do I need to add data to a picture of trash?
The One+One team wants to raise awareness about littering; the only way to do it is with facts. Each time a user is doing a clean-up we save the location, the type of trash, the weight, the quantity, the material and the brand. How One+One calculate the weight of a trash?
If you weight a trash yourself you might find a different value of what is indicated in the One+One app. It's because we are using average values in our database, for example we have weighted 10 different 12 fl oz. beverage cans and calculated the average weight. The weight of a trash can be different from one brand to another (packaging, thickness of material).
I found a trash not listed in the One+One app?
If you found a trash that doesn't exist yet in the One+One trash list, please submit an email with a picture and the name of the trash to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will add it in our database.
I found a trash but the brand doesn't exist in the One+One app?
Brand names are optional when posting clean-ups. But if you want you can submit by email a new brand name to email@example.com. We will add it in our database.
